The records included names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses and phone numbers for people in the US, UK and Canada; Troy Hunt estimated about 899 million unique SSNs. Its Chapter 11 case (Bankr. S.D. Fla. No. 24-20281) was dismissed on Oct 31, 2024 and closed Jan 31, 2025. The site shut down in December 2024. With insurance coverage declined and almost no assets, breach victims have essentially no realistic recovery.
