The notice address is not headquarters
What it is
Discovered while building the contact columns. Large companies route privacy and legal correspondence to a P.O. box or a dedicated office that is nowhere near the HQ everyone knows.
Why it matters
Anyone who mails a data-deletion demand, an arbitration opt-out or a preservation letter to the corporate headquarters found via a search engine may be mailing it to the wrong place, and opt-out windows are short and unforgiving.
Companies and rows it touches
Capital One: privacy notice directs to a P.O. box in SALT LAKE CITY, UT - not McLean, VA. Bank of America: PO Box 25118, TAMPA, FL - not Charlotte, NC. Verizon's Privacy Office is in WASHINGTON, DC - not its New York HQ.
Where to look
