What it is

Several of the largest 'customer' breaches in this tracker mainly exposed workers, dependants and beneficiaries - people with no ability to shop elsewhere.

Why it matters

A DMV household is more likely to be in the Giant Food breach through a family member's job than through their weekly shop. Employees supply the most sensitive data, cannot decline, cannot switch vendors and never see the contract.
